My son is finishing out his 2nd year at Victory Martial Arts, unfortunately we are moving out of state and unable to continue. I cannot say enough great things about Victory. I’ve enjoyed watching my son progress, work on discipline, skills and his confidence. The Martinez family really invest in the kids and it shows, they share in their victories and make you feel like family!

Both my children recently received their black belts. They have been fabulous with my children. They’ve been patient with them and want every student to be successful in their martial arts practice. My daughter has no interest in sports but loves her martial arts study and gets upset if we have to miss a class. Not only have the kids met great friends but even us, the parents, have made great friends! I couldn’t speak more highly of the Martinez’s. It’s truly a family business and we are grateful to be part of the VMA family!

My sons have been taking karate here for over 8 years. My oldest recently achieved his second degree black belt! The instructors are thorough and provide a challenging learning environment for all of their students. We have been extremely pleased with our time here and will continue to further our boys’ martial arts education through Victory.

We have been members of Victory Martial Arts Academy for three years now my oldest started when he was five who is now eight and my youngest who is now six started when he was five as well. The boys love it the after school program and the summer camp! Not only is the program and camp awesome, but the owners are too, they go above and beyond for the kids with extra activities such as parties, bounce houses, field trips, visits to the parks, movie nights, and even special events for Valentines Day and New Years Eve for the parents. My reason for putting both of my boys in this camp was because of the late pick up time at 6:30pm, it worked for me, but I’m glad there’s a better reason for them being there now, I can’t see myself taking them out of the camp and not just because of the late pick up and fun, but because of the friends they’ve made and relationships they’ve made with the owners and instructors along the way!! I highly recommend Victory, it may be a “small mom and pop”, but in my opinion that’s where the traditional fun and teaching is! :)

I absolutely love this place and adore the famiky who runs it. Lessons are so well organized and dun for their students. They are always going above and beyond including belt celebrations, special event parties, parent night out events, etc.

We can’t say enough good things about Victory Martial Arts! We have been with them for 9 years between 2 kids. Our oldest is a black belt and our youngest is about to become one very soon. Our children have attended regular classes, been a part of the after school program and went to the summer camp. To our children this has become a second home with people that we trust and care about them. Both of our children have learned how to defend themselves but more importantly when they should use their defenses. Victory Martial Arts is not one of those karate studios where you just pay a price and get a black belt these kids have to do the work and truly learn the discipline in order to advance. Watching our kids advance and grow with karate at Victory Martial Arts is one the best decisions we made as a parent.

VMA is a family friendly business. Our son has been enrolled in the martial arts program for the past couple of years and he is one belt away from achieving his black belt. Don and Rene are patient and kind with the kids, encourging them to always do their personal best. It is a passion for them both that they truly love. We feel lucky to have found them when we were searching for a local martial arts studio. If you are looking for a Karate studio to learn dicipline and self respect, I cannot reccommend them highly enough.

My son has been a part of the Victory Marshall Arts since he was in 1st or 2nd grade. He is now a rising 8th grader and almost a Black Belt. The owners/instructors take time with the students to make sure they get the form/moves. The classes are fun, and they plan camps, parties, etc. for the kids. Thanks for a great experience, Renee and Don

Frequently Asked Questions

Summer Camp

My Child Is Shy And Introverted.

If there is any common success story from our martial arts program it’s students and parents telling us how we helped their child to “come out of his/her shell.”

We have specific drills and exercises that are effective for helping students take small steps toward a more confident presence.

My Child Has A Short Attention Span.

We understand that keeping attention can be a real challenge with this age group.

That’s why our program is fast-moving and engaging for the children.

Our instructors are also experts at helping children to re-focus in class until it becomes natural to the child.

My Child Is Not Very Active And Never Liked Sports Before.

We often think of the mental disciplines of martial arts but the physical disciplines are just as important and emphasized just as much.

Recognizing and resisting urges to act out are central to the discipline of making sure a student is not abusing the training.

That includes developing the self-control to resist urges.

My Child Is Constantly Fighting With His Sister. Are We Putting Her At Risk?

The responsible use of martial arts for good rather than harm is central to everything we teach.

Parents of our martial arts students are consistently impressed with how our training helps to mature the children in different ways and temper control is one of them.

Much of that has to do with a heightened self-awareness to recognize when things are “heating up” and how to de-escalate.”

My Child Has A History Of Quitting New Activities.

When you enroll your child into our school to help with self-discipline, it’s crucial that you work with the instructors to set clear expectations.

This starts with your child clearly understanding that the first discipline is to come to class twice a week and practice two non-class days.

To help you with that the child psychologists in the Martial Arts Teachers’ Association’s Certification program suggest you be aware of what activity the child is engaged in right before getting ready for class.

If they are playing their favorite game and having fun, they will be more resistant to stopping to go to class than if they were doing something that may not be as fun, like homework.

How Much Are Lessons?

Our tuition varies with the program you choose for your child.

We offer a 2-class trial lesson course so that you can see how your child likes the program and then we will go over all of the options for you.
